Writer-Directors, Evan Makrogiannis and Brian Weaver are no strangers to the horror medium. They grew up since earliest childhood watching and admiring the movies that scared them out of their skin. They have two feature films under their belt and lay claim to filming some of the most chilling and terrifying moments put on screen. They give thanks to having the greatest movie set in the world, New York City. The city that never sleeps is their backdrop and also the setting of films that influenced them, including Taxi Driver, Maniac, and Combat Shock.

In May 2009 , they released The Turnpike Killer, under their Hallows Eve Films banner, and premiered it at the Weekend of Fear in Nuremberg, Germany. The film was made with a scant crew and screened along side movies with a one day catering cost that is higher than The Turnpike Killer's entire budget. The success of their first endeavor resurrected a relationship with a family friend of Weaver's, Alex Lugones.

Lugones, Producer of The Super, noted "the one invaluable asset they have is their ability to tell a story well. Whether its brutal, depraved or graphic in nature, their stories are simple on the surface but complex underneath. Just like a Shakespearean play, its all about family and relationships, and how these associations bring order and chaos into our lives." Lugones brings much of his award-winning directorial, editing and production experience to help launch their second film to the forefront of the horror scene. His own influences and appreciation for films of the 70s and 80s makes him a perfect match with the Makrogiannis and Weaver duo.
